Carnival in Florida

EXT. STRAWBERRY FESTIVAL - DAY
It's a warm night at a strawberry festival in a rural town outside of Daytona, Florida. Farming families, cowboys and tractor drivers walk up and down the busy ballyhoo of tents and vendors selling fruits, meats and farm equipment. Colorful lights, streamers, balloons and cotton candies fill the scene. A three piece country music band plays an older happy tune.

A boy, JIMMY, holds the hands of his mom, PEGGY, and his father, KEVIN. They walk down the middle of the isle and make their way into an arcade area.

KEVIN tries his hand at the basketball hoops. Last shot misses. Oh says the vedor, better luck next time.

Peggy tries to toss a beanbag at the sink the clown. He make fun of her, but she nails it and the clown falls into the water.

CLOWN: Come one lady, what did you just come from the

They make their way to the leap frog game.

Dad can I play?

Sure.

Other kids stand around him. One bully kid: Hey you think you can do it? We both tried and failed.
The carnival man looks mean. You can tell he’s a cheater. Hey is that kid old enough to play? Kevin: You bet he is. Oh yeah? Well let’s see it.

Come on Jimmy, show that man you can do it.

Jimmy gives the man a dollar. You only get two.

But the sign says three.
